  • The Lady Rebel Powerlifting team capped off the year with a State Championship in the Cajun Dome on March 24th.  This is the first time the Lady Rebels have won back to back state titles since 2004-2005.  9 of the 10 West Monroe lifters made it onto the podium. Kasee Sketoe, Kamaria Evans, and Karson Oliver all won first place in their respective classes.  Sketoe was named meet outstanding lifter and Oliver broke the state composite bench press record that she already owned with a successful press of 320 pounds.  2nd Place finishers were Alyssa Blazier, A'Lora Walker, and Addyson Caskey.  Third place finishers were Caroline Joslin, Andreyah Williams, and Makayla Wilson.

  • Lady Rebels Volleyball tryouts will be held on May 10&11. You will need to be at both tryouts with a completed packet and tryout fee paid. Tryout packets are located on the Volleyball page on the West Monroe web site. Any questions email Coach Coons.

  • Any girls that are interested in trying out for soccer this Spring need to go see Coach Barron in room 2201 as soon as possible to sign up for tryouts. Tryouts will be Mon and Weds, April 17 and 19th immediately after school at the stadium.

  • Attention Board Game Club Members: we will have a meeting this Wednesday in the Library after school.

  • Juniors and seniors:

    • Attention juniors and seniors attending prom, the venue for our prom has changed.  We will now have prom at Bayou Pointe on ULM’s campus.  See the prom page on gorebs.com for a map of the new location.  Prom Ticket sales have been extended to the Monday we return from break.   We absolutely will not sell them outside of the two lunch shifts though. Make sure you have the necessary forms completed when you come to buy your tickets. This is also a reminder that you must show your photo ID at the dance to get in.

  • Seniors:

This Scholarship opportunity is available to Female Seniors with a 3.0 GPA and ACT Score of 18. The Deadline is April 17th. Please reach out to the Guidance Dept or gorebs.org to find out more.

  • Don't forget that dual enrollment packets are due to Mrs. Hunt in room 4209 no later than WEDNESDAY of this week. If you do not complete a packet, you will not be placed in a dual enrollment class.
